The personal information you provide to us will only be used by the project team for research purposes and will not be disclosed to any other person or agency.
Personal information
We keep your information safe by storing digital information in password protected files on a secure server. All physical information (e.g., paper files) will be stored in a secure location designed for research data.
Only certain members of the project team involved in the research will be able to access your personal information.
The personal information you provide in the consent form is stored separately from all other information you provide.
All other information is anonymised to protect your identity.
We keep your information for 10 years at which point we destroy it by securely erasing all digital and physical files.
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact the project team by emailing julia.mcphee@aut.ac.nz.
Research analysis and reports
The digital data files used in statistical analysis will not contain any information that can be used to identify participants.
Research reports will only report group-level data. This means that you cannot be identified in any reports or publications.
